[FIXED]Preparing to Launch Loop -SOLVED-

Just purchased the game today and I am having trouble getting it to launch. Trying to launch the game brings up the "Preparing to Launch" box which then closes and sends steam back to the store page, then repeats until I force quit Steam. GearCity seems to be the only game this happens with.

So far I have:
1. Ran Steam as administrator.
2. Restarted computer.
3. Deleted the .blob file in Steam, as well as deleting and redownloading several Steam DLL's recommended in other places.
4. Attempted to run in offline mode.
5. Verified integrity of game cache.
6. Manually installed OpenAL.
7. Re-installed GearCity.
8. Deleted and re-downloaded all Steam files except steam.exe, steamapps, and userdata.

Anyone have more suggestions?

EDIT: Solved with a full Steam re-install.

Sorry I didn't get to this post quicker, I was watching my baseball team win their division for the first time in 17 years!

I'm glad you got the issue resolved. Steam can be a pain in the butt sometimes. :\
