Another way to avoid going into debt is to try to license out your designs. If you could sign a deal, the little extra revenue might of reduced the risk in that time period.

I licensed all of my designs but none of those bastards would buy them. I think I went too far into the 'cheap' territory

Survived the Great War- had to move all the production and distribution to North America but I did it. Now I'm rebuilding my empire in Europe and kinda already dread we'll have to go through it in 18 years or so
