How to access 2nd Gear?

Is this a continuation of the original Gearcity? How do I access it?

GearCity: 2nd Gear is a free DLC that is currently in alpha and testing is limited to Feature Bounty System contributors. Contributing to the FBS is currently paused until June. We will release 2nd Gear for free when it is completed.

Ok i read recently that bounties were starting back up I would love to play second gear so what is my first step?? do i pick one and donate how much? can i pick more than one?? Thank you hope your day was Kind 8^) Michael

Contributions have resumed, but we have not hit the milestone goal yet. When we hit the goal, voting begins and you use the points you gained through contributions to select what you want to fund.

If you contribute via patreon, be sure to message or email me your username (At both places) so I can grant your forum account access.

Periodically I check on here when I have funds and time available. Unfortunately that seems to happen when the bounty system isn't open. 
I'd guess that openings are likely tied to amount of progress made on current bounties, time you can allocate to the project, and complexities of the bounty/vote system.  

Have you considered making access available during these periods, perhaps with a general contribution?
To eliminate any complexities with bounty/vote management, registrations during this time would not count towards votes or alternately go into the general "carryover" pool, or similar.

Doing this would have the benefit of allowing those of us who have an interest in the development to see the current progress and play with the DLC, while reducing any potential management on your side.  For interested users, this would be similar to supporting development through early access, even if we aren't particular about the order that things get developed in.  At the same time it might mitigate time/maintenance involvements on your side as you pursue the airline project or ongoing developmet of Gear City Second Gear

Sorry for the late reply. Internet line was cut, so I am without internet until Monday (hopefully).

The problem is that Patreon does not allow pausing monthly contributions while allowing new contributions. Not to mention, until I end the FBS, contributions go toward the milestone funding. That could result in me having way too much work when the system unpauses.



We have 2 more milestones left. The next one will open around August. And then one probably in Summer 2027. After that, 2nd Gear Alpha and Beta will be publicly available in Steam and Galaxy's Beta tabs as we start polishing for a full release of it.

So if you miss out on August-October and the Summer of 27', you only have to wait until the end of 27 for it to be accessible.
