A company within the game regained it's independence when it's parent went bankrupt. I decided to buy a few shares in the business. There was only one share available and selling at $1. I bought it and now I have 100% ownership.

Same here happened, except that I paid $0 for it... Even doing so, I still get the takeover button to click on...

This issue should be fixed, any spun off companies' stocks will reset.
