When discontinuing vehicles the menu stays open and allows you to delete multiple vehicles. However, when discontinuing other items the menu will close after each one. It should stay open to allow you to delete another item.

It was working as designed, but you're correct, it would probably be better to leave it open...
So now it stays open...
