The highlight behavior seems to have change since the last patch. When you mouse over the areas in the office and they highlight they stay highlighted until you mouse over them again. Example go to research screen click the office button to return to office the research door is still highlighted bank and globe work the same way for me.

As stated in the patch notes and the steam patch announcement, there are some problems now with the glow after I had fixed a possible crash issue. I will see if I can get them working properly again sometime by the next patch.
