I found a bug. This tool doesn't work with creative X-Fi. Looking at log I think the issue is with allocating the X-Ram from sound card, but I don't know is it Ogre, OpenAll or Car Designer issue.
On my second sound card it works normally.

It seems that OgreAL does not support sound cards with xram, I believe I can prevent a crash however sound will most likely not work in game. A ticket has been added for this bug and it'll be fixed in GearCity 0.7 and GearCity Tools 1.1. In the future, time permitting, I may implement xram in OgreAL. Thanks for the heads up Shleizer!

This prototype of Car Designer has got one quite serious design flaw. The body scaling (changing Lenght, Width, Height of entire body) is in fact morphing. That could be fine if there weren't other morphs, but as the other morphs ABSOLUTE effect is the same regardless of size, their RELATIVE effect is smaller on larger size. This causes reduced freedom when the body is larger. I believe that Ogre engine supports scaling, so you should make it so it scales the car after the morphs are applied, IMO.

This is something I've noticed as well. I was hoping the flaw would not noticeable in game because the Length and Width modifier are set to the size of the chassis and the Height is restricted based on those two. Meaning you can't actually change these values in the game. This also allows the modeler to restrict the size that the body can support. Chassis sizes are fairly consistent within vehicle type and bodies are lightly restricted to types of vehicles. So in all likelihood in game the range of those morphs are slim.
As I have gathered a few more car models that haven't been made by me it has become more noticeable.
Scaling is a solution. Ogre does support it, however, I'm unsure if it it will effect the morph animations. Also it makes it more difficult for a modeler to restrict the size of a body type. This is something I would have to look into.
Overall though it's only a day or two worth of work replacing this system. So it is not that serious and doesn't impeded on the main goal of gathering art assists. If scaling doesn't impact the morph animations then it is something I will likely implement.

The size of the body type could be restricted by modeler very easily (for the modeler, I don't know how easy it is to implement). Gearcity could support a config files for each body type. In each config file, there could be max size X, Y, Z.

I hope you don't mind if I double post, but there is another serious bug not mentioned in known bugs, and I don't want you to overlook it.
When you go to accesories, do nothing, then go back to car model morphing, and finally, change the component (f.e. go from Bumper to Trunk), the game crashes.

Odd... Could you upload the log file for me? They're located in the install folder and are named Logfile.log
Accessories are not working 100% yet. I still have a few things to do to them before they're ready to go.
*Edit* I have been able to duplicate it, I and have narrowed it down to an issue with the new gui (which is why I haven't caught it yet). It has been fixed and will be included in the Tool 1.1 build. (If you need a work around, when going back to the morphs, the combo box is empty)
