My company bought out another company. I asset stripped it by keeping their factories and branches and then sold off what was left of the company.

A few turns after the sale, I realised the factories I had obtained from the bought out company still carried that company's name, despite the fact I no longer owned the rights to it.

You mean the drop down box to change factory ownership? Correct?

Yes, exactly that. Once I click on the drop down box, I no longer have the option to assign the factory to the company name I no longer have. But before clicking on the box, the name of car marque I no longer own is displayed.
