I've started 1946 Detroit, my production line limit was about 30k. Next five factories I build (1 line) the limit was also on ab. 30k. Then every new factory limit (after first six factories) dropped to 2900 per line. Why?

Assuming you're using the new factory system and the year is around 1950, this is a bug, fixed in this thread: https://www.ventdev.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=4595

The changes will be in the v2.4.0.1 update.
