If the boxes for Auto Hire and Auto Wage are ticked off under the Super Ultra All In One Mega Menu Controller!, would I ever need to click any of the Fill <something> buttons? The Fill All button is marvelous, but would I even need to click that one if Auto Hire/Wage is ticked off?

Nope, if those boxes are on, the AI will manage all of your employees optimally for you.

Yep, this is pretty much how what i have done in most of my games for a while unless i'm under serious financial pressure.
