Figured I'd give the Edward Jordan achievement a try in 2.4.0.2 but I can't even figure out how much the vehicles I'm designing cost when they're using outsourced components.
View Part and Modify Part have different values listed in the same column:

Sales projections are based on the lower cost (which was also the one visible in the vehicle designer):
