You completely deleted the game from your computer before reinstalling?
Upload or email me the logfile after it crashes and I will take a look at it.
Windows/Linux
To get the log files:
Right click the game in Steam.
Select Properties
Select the Local Files tab.
Then click the Browse Local Files button.
Open the GearCity folder,
The file name is Logfile.log and my email address is admin@ventdev.com
OS X:
Right click the game in Steam.
Select Properties
Select the Local Files tab.
Then click the Browse Local Files button.
Right Click the GearCity.app (Might be named just GearCity)
Select Show Package Contents
Contents folder, Resources folder, GearCity folder,
