Benefits System
#1
Could you explain how Benefits System works?
What is it?
And what happens if I do I enable/disable this system?

Benefits system is a series of retirement, pension, and other benefit perks paid out to employees over time. Poorly managed benefit systems can lead to destruction of companies, such as the near failure of both GM and Chrysler.

There are two major types of benefits used in GC, greater details can be read here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defined_be...nsion_plan
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defined_contribution_plan

In short, if you enable the system, employees will demand benefits. You will receive an action memo. If you fund them, you will put money into a fund (for pensions) and then pay money out of the fund when employees retire. If it is a Define Contribution Plan, then you will just directly pay into the employees fund (with no need to pay out when the employee retires.)

If you do not fund them, their morale will go lower, and the possibilities of a strike increases.

Enabling the system unlocks additional systems such as the benefit negotiation system in HR (Office Phone.) And as of 1.20.4 SP1, funding management in Banking (Safe, Money.)

You have to start a game with the setting turned on (Hard mode, OR check the box in Advance game settings.)

After that it's on. You'll get a pop up window when your employees start demanding stuff. If you want to give employees stuff before then, you can do so in HR (Phone->HR Department.)

If you enable Auto-Benefits, then you will not receive popups. It will just automatically payout.

Note, that the concept of public (non-government) retirement benefits is a more modern idea brought by increased 'socialism' and 'workers rights.' As such, you won't get much demand in early game years, but by the great depression you should be getting quite a bit. Pensions (Define Contribution) will start going away in favor of Direct Benefits around the 1980s.

Assuming you're using the Italian file? This part of Benefits system was launched in the SP 1 patch to v1.20.4. I didn't upgrade the language files for support with the hotfix/sp files. Thus why it's empty.
