V2.0.0.13 Space consumption
#1
As I play the normal "old" version the problem may be already fixed. But as it's severe I name it nevertheless:
Historical data are not deleted, although I checked on it has to be deleted after 5 years.
This results in my installation of GearCity was nearly 200 GB and my free space on HDD was 0.

After a little search I found the problem is in GeayCity\Sites.
There are a lot of directories with the same names as the save files.
After I deleted most of them, I have a lot of free space again. Therefor I have no problem anymore.

Hint: The normal save files need a lot of space too. But I deleted them often as I do it with other games too. Therefor this was never a problem for me.

May be other users with the same problem may find this info useful.

Greetings, Peter

Are you using the in game delete function when you delete save games?

Both the delete systems (old reports and deleting reports when save games are deleted) are working for me. If you're using Windows, your anti-virus is likely the culprit. Be sure to whitelist the game files in any anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-ransomware, anti-crypto, or any other anti-software software you use, including Windows Defender: https://wiki.gearcity.info/doku.php?id=t...:antivirus

If you're using Linux or MacOS, let me know. I do very little testing in the latter and haven't looked into its delete function in ages.

I’m using Windows 10.
And I delete always manually (with MS Explorer, not with the game feature). In this way I can delete a lot of save files at once.  As I save all turns (month) and use always new names, I generate a lot of save files.

As I found the additional files in GeayCity\Sites I have no problem anymore.
